​ESPEWE Modelle

ESPEWE Modelle was a plastic scale model manufacturer from the former East Germany. The factory name was "VEB Modell-und Plastspielwaren-Kombinat Annaberg-Buchholz". The scale models build under the ESPEWE Modelle collection were distributed to countries behind the iron curtain by the exporter company "Demusa/Deutsche Musik- instrumenten- und Spielwaren- Ausenhandelsgesellschaft mbH".
​Their main collection consisted of a series of 1:87 scale models that would fit the HO scale model trains built by PIKO and SCHICHT in the former East Germany. Another, smaller range, was made for "oldtimers" at a scale of 1:50.


​ESTETYKA Warsawa

Estetyka Spoldzielnia Pracy Warsawa was a plastic scale model car manufacturer from Poland. Based in Warsaw they built a series of 1:43 and 1:50 scale models during the 1970s and 1980s. The intresting fact is that both Estetyka from Poland and NovoExport from the Soviet union built plastic scale models of cars manufactured in western countries. 


​MK modelle

MK modelle was a former East German manufacturer of plastic scale models. The company was founded in 1949 by Max Krätzer as a family owned company. Since in former East Germany private companies seized to exist this was transformed into VEB (Volkseigener Betrieb - meaning People owned company) Modellkonstrukt Leipzig, however they kept the MK modelle logo on the box art and assembly instructions. 

​NOVOEXPORT

​Novoexport was an export company from the former Soviet Union. The models were produced in Tbilisi (the capital of todays Georgia) and Donetsk (today Ukraine) at a scale of 1:43 during the 1970s and 1980s. 
​The intresting fact is that both NovoExport from the former Soviet Union and Estetyka from Poland built plastic scale models of cars manufactured in western countries.....and these scale models were exported to East European countries.
