​ZTS MIKRO

​The MICRO series of scale model aircraft kit was manufactured in Poland by "Zakłady Tworzyw Sztucznych -PLASTYK" located in Prusków village. The series consisted of 11 aircraft kits all molded in green plastic using only a small number of components. All the models manufactured since 1976 used the same generic package with a Otto Lilienthal glider drawing that was never manufactured by ZTS MIKRO. There was no scale mentioned but it seems that they were made at a scale of 1:177. Below you can see a selection of the surviving models from my collection.

PZL RWD-8 DWL

​The RWD 8 was a Polish parasol monoplane trainer aircraft produced by RWD. It was designed by the RWD team of Stanisław Rogalski, Stanisław Wigura and Jerzy Drzewiecki. The first prototype was flown in early 1932. Up to 1939 a total of 500 airplanes were built. The presented scale model kit was built somewhere in the late 70's. All 12 components were molded in dark green plastic. There is no mention of the scale used but calculating from the 8 meter fuselage of the real aircraft it will result a scale of 1:177. The pictured model is missing the propeller.
